Aux Dog Theatre Nob Hill and the Santa Fe Shakespeare Society join forces to celebrate Shakespeare's 450th birthday with a staged reading of King Lear featuring some of New Mexico's greatest talent. King Lear will be an intense, emotion-filled evening as the Bard's brilliant tragedy is brought to life in an intimate staged reading.

A fractured country and a family devastated, King Lear exposes audiences to the political and emotional turmoil of a kingdom sundered by a moment's foolish pride. Despite having been written over 400 years ago, King Lear continues to be a relevant examination of the unfathomable connection of family and the power of forgiveness.
